Emma and Russell had their beautiful spring wedding at Lyman Estate last May with their friends & family. I met with them at Lyman to get ready for the first look.
The first look was as perfect as I imagined. Emma & Russell were both so excited to see each other, their friends were waiting around the corner and came out to cheer them on.
Emma & Russell opted for an unofficial wedding party which was one of my favorite parts of their day. Their friends got ready with them, were in the portraits and supported throughout the day. Emma & Russell had their siblings part of their wedding ceremony. Emma’s brother and Russell’s sister officiated, Emma’s other sister and Russell’s other sister walked down the aisle and the rest of their family stood with them under the Chuppah. It was the most beautiful way of joining two families (although they were already very much joined.)
The day was surrounded by so much love, respect and joy for this beautiful couple. I am so happy I was able to document their day.
If you haven’t been to Lyman Estate, you are truly missing out. It is an one of the most beautiful estates I’ve been to that sits on stunning gardens, with well-manicured flower beds, draping trees and the most romantic greenhouse.
So what do you think? Will the Lyman Estate be the perfect venue for your wedding?

Have you thought about doing a Surprise proposal? If so, this post is for you!
There is something so magical about playing a part in a moment that will change your life forever.
Conor first reached out to me in the spring about wanting to propose to his girlfriend while on vacation down the Cape, their first time ever being there.
Since neither of them had ever been to the Cape, he wasn’t sure where the best location was, all he knew was that he had booked dinner for 7:30PM at the Chatham Bars Inn.
I was excited to help find the perfect spot so that it didn’t make it too obvious that he was going to propose that day.
We worked together for months planning at the most perfect proposal and it was just that…perfect.
My initial plan was to be on the beach already “photographing someone” aka my sister but when that fell through, I quickly changed plans.
If you’ve been to the Cape or any beach during the summer, you know that it isn’t out of the ordinary for someone to be sitting on their beach towel reading in the evening. So that’s what I did! I gave Conor the color of my beach towel (bright green), had my book out and camera hidden so I would be ready to capture the proposal!
Madison had no idea that I was there! It was perfect.
After the proposal and now standing feet from them with my camera, she realized that the whole thing had been caught on camera.
We spent the next hour capturing their engagement – running through the sand, laughing and ended with champagne pop…so much fun!
Conor & Madison, thank you so much for trusting me with capturing your surprise proposal. I had so much fun with you both!

Is there anything more magical than snowy engagement photos in Boston? I don’t think so!
Amy & Ryan met me at the Boston Public Gardens on a freezing January day, right after a snowstorm. They wanted fresh snow for their engagement photos and they got just that!
Amy and I first met 10 plus years ago at college! Go Vikings!! We were roommates for a couples years during our time at Salem State so when Amy reached out to me about being her wedding photographer, I immediately said yes!
When I first met with Amy and Ryan over zoom (my first interaction with Ryan), it was apparent from the beginning of the call that they are meant to be together. It’s hard to explain but I could just tell. They both laugh with each other so I knew we’d have a fun time at their engagement shoot.
As I mentioned, it was FREEZING the day of their engagement photos. A & R envisioned a snowy shoot since they are having a summer wedding (which I can’t wait for!)
I think we all laughed the entire shoot, it was so much fun! A & R were up for anything, especially my weird prompts. If a couple is up for my weird and awkward prompts, I know we were meant to work together!
Snowy Engagement photos in Boston are one of my favorites. There are so many places to take photos in a short distance. Another reason I love working with A & R…they were up for all the locations I wanted to take photos at even if it meant staying out longer in the cold.
Check out some of my favorite images. I think you’ll understand why I love this couple!

If you’ve been following me for a bit, you probably have noticed by now that Newburyport is one of my favorite locations for any shoot. Within such a short distance, there are so many spots with different backgrounds and its perfect for any season.
I first met Elizabeth at a wedding show I did in the fall and we immediately connected. I loved her energy, our conversation and she is getting married at one of my favorite venues. Elizabeth emailed the night of the show wanting to chat more about her wedding (which I was so excited about) and now I’ll be capturing her and Daron’s wedding day later this year!
When it was time to book their Newburyport engagement photos, they wanted winter photos (cozy, snow, hot cocoa) you know, all the winter stuff! The day of their engagement photos, it was the deep freeze, remember -30 with wind-chill so we rescheduled.
Once we were finally able to do their photos, there was no snow but that didn’t stop us! Elizabeth came prepared with hot cocoa for some cozy photos which are some of my favorite and different accessories to change up the photos (I highly recommend doing this)!
Although freezing, it was so much fun! I can’t wait for their wedding!
Do you think Newburyport could be the location for your engagement photos or wedding? Let’s chat!

With under 100 days until Sarah & Nick’s wedding, I am sharing more from their Winchester engagement shoot.
Sarah reached out to me soon after she got engaged. They knew they wanted to get married in less than a year, had their venue picked out and needed a photographer. While talking to Sarah, I knew I was meant to be their wedding photographer (I know it sounds corny lol.) But it’s true.
For their Winchester engagement shoot, I took them to my hometown because there are some many great spots! We started off at the library and then made our way to The Fells.
I always love shooting at a location that has different backdrops in a short distance. It breaks up the session but also provides different backdrops for your photos which I think is so important.
I can’t wait to capture their day in a couple months in Sturbridge! And I can’t wait to share photos from their big day!
I love going to my hometown for engagement photos, let’s chat!
