Engagement photos are included in all of my wedding collections, but if you’re planning a surprise proposal or simply want engagement photos before setting a wedding date, the process is easy! Once you’re ready to move forward, you can officially book your session with a signed contract and retainer.

Now that your session is officially booked (yay!), it’s time to start planning! If we haven’t picked an exact location yet, this is when we’ll figure it out together. If you already have a specific spot in mind, let me know, but if not, I have so many favorite locations I’m always happy to share as your Boston engagement photographer.

I’ll also send over a style guide so you feel confident choosing outfits that photograph beautifully. And want an outfit change? Don’t worry, I’ve got my little pop-up dressing room ready to go.

02 / Planning and prep

Your engagement session is here! Your job is to relax, have fun, and soak in this exciting season together, and my job is to capture your connection in a way that feels natural and true to you.

03 / photo time!

After your session, I’ll be hard at work editing your final engagement gallery! Each photo will be hand-selected and carefully edited before being delivered straight to your inbox. Engagement galleries are completed no later than 2 weeks after your session, and every image will be delivered in both color and black & white because you should get to decide which you love most. Get ready to cozy up, scroll through your gallery together, and relive this exciting season all over again. And if you decide you want me there for your wedding too (yes please!), your engagement session will be credited toward one of my wedding collections.

I never took engagement photos myself, and it’s honestly one of my biggest regrets. Your engagement is such a unique season of your relationship: full of excitement, anticipation, and all the little moments before your lives officially change forever. It goes by so quickly, and looking back, I wish I had taken the time to document it.

That’s why, as your Boston engagement photographer, I prioritize getting to know you as a couple and helping you feel comfortable from the very first moment we connect. Because when you feel good, your photos will shine. I’ll capture the moments that matter, the laughter, the connection, and the way your relationship feels right now, and I’ll do it in a way that feels relaxed, authentic, and true to you.

This is the in-between season. The excitement, the anticipation, the quiet moments before everything changes and it deserves more than a quick session.

I don’t just show up and take photos. I help you prepare with a style guide so you feel your best, plan for multiple outfit changes (with a pop-up changing space included), and create an experience that feels effortless and fun. So when you look back, you remember exactly how it felt, not just how it looked.

Your engagement session isn’t just about photos, it’s about capturing a chapter you’ll never get back.

Favorite Boston locations 

From iconic city backdrops to beautiful coastal scenery, Boston has so many incredible spots for engagement photos. As a Boston engagement photographer, some of my favorite locations north of the city include, Wingaersheek Beach, while Duxbury Beach is perfect for couples looking for a relaxed coastal vibe south of Boston.

For garden-inspired engagement sessions, I love the Arnold Arboretum for its beautiful paths and natural scenery. And if you’re dreaming of engagement photos right in the heart of the city, some of my favorite Boston locations include Beacon Hill, Boston Public Garden, Fan Pier Park, and of course, the North End.

As soon as possible! I take on a limited number of sessions each year, so dates can book up quickly, especially during peak seasons like spring and fall.

How far in advance should we book you?

No later than 2 weeks after your session! I know how exciting it is to relive this season of your relationship, so I always work hard to get your gallery back to you as quickly as possible.

When we will we receive our final photos? 

Travel for engagement and portrait sessions up to 100 miles round trip is included. After that, there will be a travel fee, but I’ll always let you know ahead of time when you inquire.

Do you charge for travel? 

Yes! I highly recommend beach engagement photos during the off-season. There are usually fewer crowds, less traffic, and often no parking fees, which makes the whole experience much more relaxed.

We want photos at the beach. When is the best time of year? 

 Some locations, like Crane Estate, require photography permits, which would be the responsibility of the couple. The same goes for parking fees at beaches or in Boston.

Are there any additional fees? 

I carefully edit each image to remove distractions like exit signs, telephone lines, blemishes, or flyaway hairs so the focus stays on you and your connection.

What I won’t do is heavily alter your appearance. I want your photos to still feel like you, just your best and most confident self.

How do you edit photos? 

A signed contract and a $250 retainer are required to officially secure your date with me as your Boston engagement photographer.

Once the contract and invoice have been sent, you will have 72 hours to sign and pay. If neither is received within that time, the date will be released.
